WA Student Surgical Conference Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter this draw forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. The competition is being run by MDA National Insurance Pty Ltd (MDA National Insurance) ABN 56 058 271 417 AFS Licence Number 238073 of Level 3, 88 Colin Street, West Perth WA 6005, Australia. MDA National Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of MDA National Limited ABN 67 055 801 771 (MDA National) (together the ‘MDA National Group’).
  3. Entry is open to all WA Medical Students who receive an invitation to attend the WA Surgical Conference scheduled for 22 October 2022 (“Eligible Entrant”).
  4. Entry into the draw commences on 22 September 2022 by way of the Eligible Entrant signing up here to receive MDA National resources via email & SMS. The competition will close at 2pm WST on Saturday 22 October 2022.
  5. The prize consists of one set of Bose Sport Earbuds valued at $254.
  6. The prize will be drawn and announced at the WA Surgical Students Conference on 22nd October 2022 at 3pm. The winner will also be published on the WASSC facebook page.
  7. The result is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. The winner, on request by MDA National Insurance, must be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of MDA National Insurance, demonstrates that they are an Eligible Entrant and has complied with these terms and conditions.
  9. If the winner does not claim their prize by 5pm Monday 24th October 2022, then a redraw will take place at 5.05pm at Level 3, 88 Colin Street, West Perth. The new winner will then be contacted on their designated mobile phone number by 5pm on Tuesday 25th October 2022 and published on the WASSC facebook page.
  10. The prize will be deemed unclaimed if MDA National’s reasonable attempts to contact the winner via mobile telephone by 5pm on 25th October 2022 are unsuccessful. Redraws will follow the same process until a successful claim is made.
  11. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the item as stated. The prize is not exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash.
  12. The MDA National Group and its respective officers and employees will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained in connection with this competition, the promotion of this competition or the use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  13. The MDA National Group is not responsible for any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, ineligible, incomplete or misdirected entry whether due to error or otherwise.
  14. Entry details remain the property of MDA National Insurance. The name of the winners may be used for promotional purposes by the MDA National Group, unless the winner otherwise notifies the MDA National Group at the time of accepting his/her prize. Eligible Entrants consent to MDA National Insurance using the contact details provided in connection with their MDA National Insurance policy for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the competition and awarding any prizes.
