First year medical students who join MDA National today will be in the running to win one of four MacBook Pros (valued at $2,499)

  1. Information on how to enter this giveaway forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into this giveaway is deemed to be in acceptance of these terms and conditions set out below ('Terms and Conditions').
  2. The prize draw is being run by MDA National Insurance Pty Ltd ABN 56 058 271 417 AFS Licence Number 238073 ('MDA National Insurance') of Level 3, 88 Colin Street, West Perth WA 6005, Australia, phone 1800 011 255. MDA National Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of MDA National Limited ABN 67 055 801 771 (MDA National) (together MDA National Group).
  3. The giveaway commences at 12.00am (AEDT) on Thursday, 9 January 2025 and ends at 23.59pm (AEDT) Monday, 24 March 2025 (‘Promotion Period’).
  4. Entry is open to first-year medical students studying in Australia who:
    • are MDA National Members; or
    • have applied for Membership with MDA National before the end of the Promotion Period; and
    • are 18 years of age or over at the time of entering (or if under 18 years of age, written parental/guardian consent has been provided).
  5. Entry is limited to one entry per Eligible Entrant.
  6. The giveaway is not open to MDA National Insurance staff or their families.
  7. The prize will only be awarded to four Eligible Entrants.
  8. The prize consists of four MacBook Pro 14 inch with M4 chip, valued at $2,499 each ('prize'). The total value of all prizes is $9996.
  9. The prizes will be drawn manually at MDA National Insurance's Sydney office, Level 5/69, Christie Street, St Leonards NSW 2065.
  10. There will be two draws, with two prize winners each. The first draw for the first two prize winners will be held on Tuesday, 25 February 2025 at 10.00am (AEDT) and the second draw for the final two winners will be held on Monday, 31 March 2025.
  11. The result is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be contacted by email on the day of the draw to arrange delivery of the prize. The winners (if any) details including first initial, last name and postcode will be published on the MDA National website and social media channels within 30 days’ of the draw.
  12. The winners will be given two (2) weeks to claim their prize by informing MDA National of their postage address. If after this time, their prize is not claimed then a redraw will take place at MDA National's Sydney office, Level 5/69, Christie Street, St Leonards NSW 2065 at 10.00am (AEDT) on 11 March 2025 for the first draw and 10.00am (AEDT) on 14 April 2025 for the second draw. Redraws will follow the same process until a successful claim is made.
  13. Winners who have successfully redeemed their prize will not be included in any subsequent draw or redraw.
  14. The new winner(s) will be contacted by email on the day of the draw to arrange delivery of the prize. The winners details including first initial, last name and postcode will be published on the MDA National website and social media channels within 30 days’ of the draw.
  15. The prize winner must, on request by MDA National Insurance, be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of MDA National Insurance, demonstrates that the winner is an Eligible Entrant and have complied with these Terms and Conditions.
  16. The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner(s) is unable to use the prize as stated.
  17. Prizes are not transferable to another person or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash.
  18. The MDA National Group and its respective officers and employees will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained in connection with this giveaway, the promotion of this giveaway or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  19. The MDA National Group is not responsible for any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, ineligible, incomplete or misdirected entry whether due to error or otherwise.
  20. Entry details remain the property of the MDA National Group. The name of the winner will be used for promotional purposes by the MDA National Group.
  21. Eligible Entrants consent to MDA National Insurance using the contact details provided in connection with their MDA National Insurance policy for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the giveaway and awarding any prizes.
  22. MDA National collects, uses and discloses personal information of entrants in accordance with the MDA National Group’s Privacy Policy for the purposes of conducting this giveaway.
  23. Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information by contacting MDA National on the number below.

  25. Where this giveaway is communicated and/or conducted via a social media platform (including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and/or X (formerly Twitter), entrants acknowledge that use of social media platforms are subject to their terms and conditions of use.
  26. The giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, nor associated with any social media platform.
  27. If for any reason any aspect of this giveaway is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the MDA National Group, MDA National Insurance may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the giveaway and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
