Business Transformation & Technology
- Technology supports the business with day-to-day technology requirements
- Our Program Management Office facilitates the process through which business projects and improvements are delivered
Corporate Services
- People and Culture are responsibility for the operational, advisory and strategic management of our people-related functions including to attract, develop and retain outstanding staff, payroll management and culture initiatives.
- Corporate, Legal and Assurance manage our in- house legal advice, enterprise risk and compliance management and dispute resolution.
- Finance conduct all of the financial management of the organisation, including financial reporting, capital management, budget preparation, reinsurance, asset management and accounting.
Member Value and Services
Our Member Value and Service area consist of four functional areas:
- Brand & Corporate Communications are responsible for how our brand exists in the market (consistency & awareness), in addition to all of our internal and external communications, alliance partnerships, Member engagement events and internal event projects.
- Marketing is responsible for our marketing campaigns and content initiatives.
- Business Development is comprised of state-based Business Development Specialists who promote MDA National Membership to prospective new Members.
- Member Services is primarily responsible for assisting existing Members and new prospect enquiries by telephone and written requests and enhancing our Member Experience through insights, reporting and service optimisation.
Professional Services
Professional Services is another key area which has direct and personal contact with our Members. It Is the main area from where we deliver on our promise to our Members, and consists of four main functions:
- Medico-legal Advisory Services are responsible for the provision of accurate, timely and relevant advice
- Cases and Advisory Services are responsible for the management of our active cases
- Education Services are responsible for the creation and delivery of education events and content to Members to assist them in practising safe medicine
Underwriting & Insurance Risk Services
The Underwriting & Insurance Risk Services division consists of two teams:
- Underwriting are responsible for developing the insurance policies, assessing, categorising risk and setting the premiums.
- Support in Practice are a Member facing unit that helps our Members understand their own risks and how they might mitigate them through the assessment and management of High Risk Practitioners and provision of practice visits, blog posts, seminars, webinars and other resources for the benefit of Member
