Free, confidential peer support for health professionals in Australia and New Zealand.Hand-n-Hand (Helping Australian & New Zealand Nurses and Doctors) was founded in March 2020 in far north QLD.
What is peer support?
A way of providing emotional and wellbeing assistance where both the facilitator and participant are equals. Through this, people can connect through lived experiences.
How does it work?
You sign up, and they match you with a peer support volunteer from a similar field and level of training. Once linked in, you can catch up whenever suits you both, as often as you need, online or in person.

Doctors' Health Advisory Services provides access to health care to doctors, veterinarian or student in these professions.
The Doctors' Health Advisory Service (DHAS) offers personal advice to medical practitioners and students facing difficulties. Medical practitioners concerned about their own health, the health of a colleague or family member who is a doctor or medical student can call the DHAS for advice.
Callers often seek advice in relation to stress, mental health issues, drug and alcohol problems, career crises and personal and relationship difficulties.
